We spent three days in Stockholm and we learned a few things. I learned that Evolution and Natural Selection, is a lie, for the Swedes are so beautiful that if it were true the entire world would be populated by Swedes. The girls had a bit of a unfriendly bitchy attitude, but then again nobody is as friendly as Americans. We did notice that in every country its always the biggest city in that country where girls are snobs, and the second biggest city is where everyone is friendly. Some common examples: Stockholm- Gothenburg, New York- LA, Sydney-Melbourne, many more.
My friend was extremely pissed because he got jacked by a couple of girls for a free McDonalds meal. Some girls he was flirting with said they would hang out with him if he bought them a meal. They then proceeded to slip away just as he gave them their food, he was so upset. I don’t know if it is the pettiness of the crime that made him so angry or the way in which they literally just walked away without saying a word. He probably would have felt less used and abused had they stolen his wallet while talking to him. It’s fair to say my friend had a very UN-Happy Meal at Mc Donalds.
We were out partying every night till 7 am, and we experienced every party Stockholm has to offer. The Swedes are so docile, and the stunning women so bountiful, that a midget leprechaun with scoliosis would have no problem getting the hottest girl if he just has the guts to talk to them. In relative to how many woman we were speaking to, statistically we were doing worse than midget leprechauns, but we had so much fun since Americans are so rare there, that we felt like celebrities which made up for it. We were drinking way too much, and eating such crap that the entire trip was being planned and mapped based on the proximity to a clean bathroom.
Every Swede asked us the same question “What the hell are you doing in Sweden?” they all thought Stockholm was the most boring city in the world, and visiting it is paramount to a vacation in a retirement village retreat. I got tired of saying the same joke reply that “We ended up on the wrong plane, and we were supposed to be going to Paris”. The line was getting so old; that I felt like the really old uncle everyone has that uses the same corny joke, which he keeps repeating for the last twenty years or for as long as you can remember. Which reminds me of how much I hate people that say “Oh you brought the good weather” or “you bought the bad weather” , you might as well just paraphrase and say I have nothing original to say right now, so I will use some stupid conversation filler, that will make you laugh uncomfortably, and make me look like an idiot.
We checked out the entire city and nothing is as funny when you travel as seeing some signs that are so lost in translation that it becomes a running quote and joke for the entire trip. Some of our most memorable ones were; A pizza store with the largest sign possible claiming “Probably the best pizza in town”. This was a very unconfident, unsure business owner. “I most likely have the best pizza in town, but I am not 100% sure, you should probably keep trying other pizzas just to be safe”. Another great sign was the “Eat all you can buffet” which just sounds like something your Doctor would tell you, if you came to complain about explosive diarrhea and a lack of an appetite, to which he would reply “Don’t worry just “Eat all you can”. We also kept running into statues that either had their penises chopped off as an act of vandalism, or an actual additional statue of man next to the naked one bearing an axe about to chop it off. It was ironic since circumcision is very unpopular in Europe. Check out the pics to see what I am talking about. I am now off to Amsterdam with the famous “Red light District”, which by the time I am finished with it, it will be renamed to “Green Light District”.
